What It Measures
- Evaluates multiple iron-related measurements: serum iron, TIBC, transferrin saturation and ferritin.
- An iron-studies panel reviews several iron-related values, while an individual ferritin test measures a single marker.
- Values are reported against the performing laboratory’s reference ranges.
Preparation

- Drink water before your visit.
- Wear a short sleeve or loose sleeve.

Important Limitations
Reflects a single point of collection and can change over time.
A laboratory result is not, by itself, a diagnosis. A licensed physician or qualified healthcare professional should interpret your results in the context of your overall health.
